IEEE TryEngineering STEM Grant Program 2026/2027

The IEEE TryEngineering STEM Grant Program 2026/2027 seeks to support over 20 applicants through its grant scheme. Each successful applicant who is an IEEE member will receive between $500 and $2,000, depending on their level, program, or initiatives.

Sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Foundation, this grant scheme seeks to support the STEM programs of its active member communities worldwide.

The grant scheme will consist of three levels: introductory, share, and inspire. Each grant award will support the foundation’s activities for school-aged children around the world.

Applications have been open since August 2026 for the 2027 funding calendar. The last day to receive applications will be November 30, 2026. Applicants will receive their funding decisions between December 2026 and February 2027, while funding proper will begin mid-February 2027.

Funding Benefits

The grant scheme will support successful applicants in three stages, and these are:

  1. Introductory level: This will support up to 15 applicants with $500 each to implement their projects, programs, or other initiatives.
  2. Share level: To support 10 grantees with $501 to $1,000.
  3. Inspire level: This grant is for 5 awardees who will be supported with $1,001 to $2,000

All funding is used only to support active IEEE members who have been active no later than November 23, 2026.

How to Apply for the IEEE TryEngineering STEM Grant Program

  1. Visit the foundation platform to review the grant terms and conditions.

  3. To access the application form, applicants must be registered members with active login credentials.
  4. Fill out the application form, attach the necessary documents, and submit before the deadline of November 30, 2026, at 11:59pm ET.
  5. Successful applications will receive funding in February 2027.
