ACS Graduate Student Success Grant 2026 is open to master’s and doctoral students in the United States who require financial assistance to complete their program. The total grant money available is $ 1,000,000 to be shared among 40 awardees at $25,000 each.
To qualify for the grant, applicants must be master’s or PhD students who have one year to complete their degree but are facing financial challenges. The students must also be currently enrolled in research studies in the chemical sciences at any institution in the US. Each institution can only get one successful grant. This means that no two successful awardees may be from the same institution.
The award is for one year only and supports students who want to complete their studies. The American Chemical Society, the funding organisation, also seeks to increase the number of trained chemists in the United States to preserve the scientific community.
Apart from the monetary support, the grant also will support students in their career development in ACS as they transition to the workforce.
Applications are currently ongoing and will close by October 2, 2026. All awardees will receive funding by December 31, 2026, and they must use up the funds by October 31, 2027.

Funding Benefits
A total of $1,000,000 will be distributed among 40 recipients for this year’s grant award, with each person receiving $25,000. Also, each grant recipient will receive automatic ACS membership if they are not already a member.
Recipients of the award will also receive stipends and other out-of-scope expenses, such as travel, conference registration, tuition, and so on.
